6:30 – I was awoken by my mum shaking me viciously. Not a pleasant experience. Im not a morning person and took a long time getting dressed. Then, forgetting to bring my iPod, staggered out the door.

6:55 – We reached the station after a ten-fifth teen minute drive. I was starving as I had had no breakfast at the time. In the station, we bought a newspaper and I saw this girl at my year, whose sister was also auditioning.

7:00 – We got on the train. I managed to get some breakfast (A moulding iced bun and orange juice that seemed several years old, typical train food) and I spent the rest of the journey staring at this guy opposite me, it really freaked him out. Then, when he went to the toilet, I picked up the book he had been reading, “Armageddon” but it was really boring.

8:45 – We reached Station Waterloo. It was really quiet, although it was still quite early. Then we quickly flagged down a taxi and told him where to go. He said ok, but nothing more.
9:00 – You know how taxis have two main seat like a car then 2 really uncomfortable seats that fold down at the back? Well I’m always on one of the uncomfortable ones! So I couldn’t see the front. We were just talking when my mum went “Oh my God!” Streets and streets where just full with people, clumped next to each other. The taxi driver said “I’ve been dropping people off since four in the morning!” We got out of the taxi and went to find the end. As we were walking I saw another girl in my year, who WAS auditioning. I saw her shortly after we got out of the car, and thought “Wow, she’s quite near the back”. She wasn’t. I took us around ten minutes of walking to reach what we thought was the end and my mum started to line up. Then this guy started yelling at her and we realized. At the end, it curved round and was actually twice as long! It took us a long time to find the end!

9:30 – And so the waiting began. I was so excited, in fact, more excited then my sister. I was really anxious to take photos and so grabbed my dad’s camera and started shooting! This cop came up to me and said “What’s going on?” And first I thought he meant why I was taking pictures, but then I realised what he was talking about and told him. We waited for a long time and eventually we reached the turn around. We were in the ACTUAL queue!

11:00 – Err… well… we waited some more.

15:30: So after all the waiting, we were there. These people came round in the queue asking us to show our identification (well, my sister’s). Then, my sis went into the hall and was given a number. Then, she went into groups into thirty. Three groups of around thirty went in together and each group stands in a semi-circle. Then the cast directors went round and asked those who they thought would be suitable to step forward. Unfortunately, my sister wasn’t chosen. There were some who were in tears, those who just looked sad, and then those who looked ok, my sis included. Then we pretty much went home.
